Balloon Festival Singha Park. The Chiang Rai International Balloon Festival is a spectacular annual event, where participants from 14 countries (including the United Kingdom, United States, Switzerland, Brazil, Philippines, South Korea, Taiwan, Austria, Latvia, Germany, Italy and Japan), all come together to display their fabulous balloons. The event runs for five days (normally from 13th – 17th February) and over the course of the event, the park hosts some great music concerts as well as providing plenty of food and drink options, at reasonable prices. A great event to visit and fun for all ages.

The Day Events

Daytime at the park is a great opportunity to view the balloons. Balloon rides are on offer, providing a panoramic view of Singha Park and beyond.
The gardens in the park are pretty, with plenty of food, drink and craft stalls.

The Evening Light Show

The balloon light show in the evening is spectacular. Check out the video below to see the display in all its glory. The show runs for just a couple of minutes but is well worth watching. Aim to get a good spot around the lake prior to the show kicking off.

Accommodation

Accommodation books up FAST around the Singha Park location, so if you are looking for someplace within walking distance then make sure to book online as soon as possible.
Agoda and similar sites will have a list of available options close to Singha Park. Most of the close-by accommodation is fairly simple.
